Spot Jeera prices are moving up steadily amid decent buying support. The commodity is quoting at Rs 13009 per quintal in Unjha today, up Rs 10 on the day as good quality supplies are on a wane. Traders are also worrying that the sowing activity would not be very enthusiastic given that the prices have witnessed a sizebale drop over the year. The spot prices in Unjha mandi in Gujrat have averaged Rs 12986 per quintal in November so far- down 13.60% compared to November 2012.
